    Message From The Captain:

    The Patrol Division is responding to a wide range of service requests with the expanding diversity of our Central Oregon community. Regardless of the type of service call, our team is continuously striving to succeed in fulfilling our department mission, “To Protect and Serve.” In doing so, the men and women of the Bend Police Department actively engage the public as partners and active members of our collective, solution-oriented team. Every day, our officers are seizing unique opportunities to serve our community and each other in small and essential ways. This includes focusing on building strong relationships with our citizens by involving youth and adults in non-enforcement projects, and by visiting schools and youth programs, veteran programs, senior centers, business visits, deploying downtown foot patrols and much more.

    Our dedicated City of Bend Police Officers and Community Service Officers help create a more safe community by addressing criminal issues through investigations and related arrests, traffic enforcement, animal control and other law enforcement activities. Our patrol teams include the units of field service patrol, traffic, community response team, problem oriented policing and community service officers.
