The North Carolina State Highway Patrol’s primary mission is to reduce collisions and make the highways of North Carolina as safe as possible.
The State Highway Patrol has more than 1,600 troopers who cover 78,000 miles of North Carolina roadways, more than any other state except Texas.

An applicant will be considered for employment based upon the combined score achieved on the Cooper Fitness Standards Test and the IO Solutions Online test. This score will be used to rank all applicants.
Top - down selection of applicants will be based on the applicant list which will be valid for one year.
